Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club

Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club - the perfect location for your Florida vacation.  The golf course, like our home, is maintained to the highest standard.  It is a peaceful, gated community with a guard on duty 24/7.  Residential and rental homes are set around this upscale, beautiful golf course. 

The elegant golf clubhouse has a restaurant and bar and is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner or to just unwind after an enjoyable round of golf.  Kids menu is available. The breakfast buffet on Sunday morning is a great way to start the day.

Southern Dunes restaurant is open 7 days a week: Breakfast (menu) 7:00am – 11:00am (except Sunday 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. breakfast buffet), Lunch (menu)    11:00am – 5:00pm, Dinner (menu) (Fri, Sat) 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The bar has Happy Hour from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs, Sun and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Fri, Sat.

If your planning on playing some golf whilst you're at Southern Dunes, there is a drivng range, putting green and pro shop which is well stocked with clothing and golf equipment. Why not take home a Southern Dunes golf shirt as a reminder of the fabulous holiday you've had? There is also on-course service should you need some refreshment.  A beverage cart goes round the course several times a day - fully stocked and ready to serve you as it travels round the course. 

The golf carts are all equipped with GPS.

Conveniently situated off US Highway 27, about 7 miles from Junction 55 of the I4. Less than 20 minutes drive to both Disneyworld and the world’s largest Legoland (due to open October 2011) also several family restaurants are within 5 minutes drive.

There are also tennis courts, play area for the children, library and gym.

Just outside the gates, within walking distance from Roowood you have the convenience of supermarkets (24 hour WalMart and Winn Dixie), shops, restaurants and a bank.

Local restaurants include The All Star Bar and Grill, Beef O'Bradys, T-Bones, and our favorite - Manny's Chophouse.

Just 5 minutes away is Lake Eva Park, 321 South 6th Street,with children's play areas, tennis courts, fishing pier, picnic areas and Aquatic Center.

Movies in the Park takes place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.

Music in the park is on the third Sunday of each month from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is FREE

The Aquatic Center is open (weekends only) from April 2nd, 2011 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
and daily from June 11th 12p.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission is $3.00
